SYSTEM FOR CONTROL OF DISTANCE BETWEEN SUCCESSIVE TRAINS BASED ON DIGITAL RADIO COMMUNICATION Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC B61L25/02

Abstract RU 2578646 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation and telemechanics on railway transport. System comprises an installed on every locomotive navigation signals receiver and onboard radio station, a central station device located in the control centre and containing an identification unit, a unit for calculation of the distance between trains, a unit for determining trains approach velocity, a coordinates monitoring unit, a memory unit, an electronic card and a decision unit connected to the software-hardware device of the automated workstation of the train dispatcher, which is connected to the control unit of IP data transmission network. On every locomotive, there is installed an interfaces matching unit, a navigation signals receiver, a locomotive control unit, a driver control panel and an onboard radio station connected by a radio channel via the base station with IP network. At that, the data transmission network control unit, trains onboard radio stations and base stations are made, with the help of the IP networks, with a possibility to arrange digital radio communication based on DMR standard.

EFFECT: there is achieved higher efficiency of monitoring the distance between the trains following one after another.
