FIELD: railway traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: system for maintaining the distinction interval between successively moving trains contains a digital technological radio communication network, which includes base stations, each of which is connected through a switch to a stationary computer connected to a module of electronic maps of train routes, and on each train involved in system following is installed: locomotive safety device, ALSN/ALS-EN signals receiver, automatic guidance device, odometry means, GNSS signals receiver, DMR radio station module, connected to the process radio communication digital network, display unit and local communication radio station module by “point-to-point” connection type, connected to time slots dividing module. Automatic navigation device comprises onboard computer connected to the electronic route map module, which includes a module for intelligent support of the rhythm of movement to construct driving train motion forecast model with due allowance for possible delays nearby obstacles along route to calculate, on the basis of said model, optimum speed following leading train.
EFFECT: reduced interval of passing traffic and increased capacity of railway sections.
