FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: carbon ash is processed with sulphur-containing compound, selected from the group, which consists of sodium sulphate, sodium sulphide, sodium sulphite, sodium polysulphide, sodium thiosulphate, alkali metal sulphate, alkali metal sulphite, alkali metal sulphide, alkali-earth metal sulphate, alkali-earth metal sulphite, alkali-earth metal sulphide and their mixtures. Quantity of sulphur-containing compound constitutes 0.005-1% of quantity of carbon ash. Processing is carried out by pouring, spraying, injection, dispersion or diffusion.

EFFECT: obtained surface-modified carbon ash reduces hysteresis of polymer composition when it binds to it, and increase of exploitation characteristics due to reduction of heat generation.
