FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials treatment in rolls. The system contains pair of rolls, comprising top roll (10) and bottom roll (20) installed with work clearance (30), each having two axial diametrically opposite trunnions (12, 22) and sleepers (14, 24), two actuating elements (34, 36), control system, acting on the first and the second actuating elements (34, 36), at least two supports (18, 18', 28, 28') for each trunnion (12, 22) of the roll, with at least one bearing installed in one of the support, wherein the support (18', 28') located on the trunnion at external side of the roll is installed in the regulating support (16, 26), that has the first arm (161, 261) of lever and the second arm (162, 262) of the lever, wherein the second arm (162) of the lever of the appropriate regulating support (16) of the top roll (10), and the second arm (262) of the lever of the appropriate regulating support (26) of the bottom roll (20) are connected with each other by means of the first actuating element (34), and the corresponding each other sleepers (14, 24) and the regulating supports (16, 26) of the top roll (10) and bottom roll (20) are located against each other. Increased accuracy of the clearance regulation is ensured in that the support (18, 28) located on the trunnion at internal side of the roll is installed in the sleeper (14, 24), the first arm (161) of the lever of the regulating support (16) of the top roll (10) and the first arm (261) of the lever of the regulating support (26) of the bottom roll (20) are rigidly connected with each other, and opposite sleepers (14, 24) of the top roll (10) and bottom roll (20) are connected with each other by means of the second actuating element (36). The method includes movement of the first, them the second actuating elements to hold the sleepers (14, 24) relatively to the moving through the rolls work clearance (30) material in idle position.
