FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: steering gear includes a shaped rudder blade and a flap. The rudder blade consists of the main part that is fixed on a rudder stock. The latter is installed in a vertical and longitudinal plane of the ship and provided with a flap rotation drive. The flap is located behind the main part in the direction of the ship and interconnected with it by means of a hinge with the vertical rotation axis. The rudder stock is rigidly attached to the main part of the rudder blade. The flap rotation drive includes a turning shaft. The rotation axis of the turning shaft is arranged in the same vertical longitudinal plane of the ship with the rudder stock rotation axis. The end of the turning shaft is provided with a sleeve, the axis of which is perpendicular to the rotation axis of the turning shaft, through which a stock is passed with a possibility of back and forth movement. The stock end is provided with a fold and rigidly attached to the flap.
EFFECT: improving ship control efficiency.
