FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: centring drill consists of a flat cutting head with a guiding centre, a pair of cutters symmetrical relative to the axis of rotation of the drill, the main blades of which are arranged perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the drill. Each of the drill cutters has a varying contour wedge angle which decreases from the side surface of the cutter to the guiding centre by 1-35 degrees, and the drill shank has a cross-sectional profile of a regular polygon, twisted uniformly along its axis.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of the drill when processing materials and the accuracy of measurement of physical and mechanical properties of wood and wood materials in microdrilling by determining the resistance of the material to drilling.
