FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to percussion-rotary grinding of white soot for production of separators of lead batteries. Starting material is pre-mixed with an additional air stream at a ratio of 1.0-2.0 mass flow and fed into feed zone of material. Method includes feeding into mill air swirling flow upward and radially directed flow of initial material. Material is disintegrated by impact. A two-phase flow of ascending air and crushed particles is generated. Two-phase flow direction of rotation coincides with direction of rotation of ascending air flow and opposite to direction of rotation classifier. Uncrushed particles are separated from two-phase flow with return to regrinding. Air and suspended particles of ground material are discharged from mill.
EFFECT: uniform dosing of white soot in feeding zone and efficiency of removal of fine particles provides high efficiency of grinding and stability of range of grain size of crushed particles and their average size.
