FIELD: flour-milling industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves breaking cereal grain components by means of milling bodies of rotation which are rolled over grain mass, with bodies of rotation being in contact with curved bearing surface; creating circular flow in grinding zone by moving milling bodies along bearing surface; removing falling particles of product from grinding zone and directing them to discharge end or to subsequent parts of additional grinding zone. Such method prevents particles which has attained required grinding extent from overgrinding, and improved grinding of particles which has not attained required grinding extent. Apparatus has cylindrical casing and vertical rotor positioned within cylindrical casing and provided with separator. Milling bodies of rotation are placed in separator. Falling particles of ground product are drawn by particle flow sucking pipes which are mounted in rotor for displacement to cylindrical casing. Pipes are made cylindrical or spiral, with longitudinal slot oriented in the direction of rotation of rotor. Such construction facilitates creation of circular flow in pipes and removal of falling particles from grinding zone.
