FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry. In casting of internal combustion engine piston, the hole for the piston pin is made by means of the device containing a linearly moving spindle (10), and a damper (12) moving linearly and anglewise to the spindle (10). Damper (12), which forms a recess under the area of piston rings, is connected with the rotary plug (16) which is rotative by means of spindle (10). When moving, the spindle (10) captures damper (12) and removes it from the formed recess in the piston mold.

EFFECT: simplified design and process of piston manufacturing.
