SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the internal-combustion engines. The internal-combustion engine contains at least one cylinder with installed piston kinematically linked with crank-shaft, cylinder head with installed in it inlet and outlet valves, combustion chamber on piston bottom made in form of the recess from rotation body, its axis coincides with cylinder axis or is near it; swirl blades in form of the end shoulders with tangential channels are located around the combustion chamber in piston bottom and are adjacent to the recess in cylinder head when piston is in UDC position, valves are located in recesses in the cylinder head, their depth corresponds to depth of cylinder head recess, and ignition source installed in the cylinder head recess, at that on high speed engines (mainly with spark-plug ignition) the main volume of the combustion chamber is made in the cylinder head recesses, including for valves, and recess in the piston bottom in the internal loop of the swirl blades is up to 40% of the entire volume of the combustion chamber, and for diesel engines the recess in the piston bottom in the internal loop of the swirl blades is from about 40% to 70% of entire combustion chamber volume or to combustion chamber volume with deduction of the volume in gap between the piston and head and volume of cavity in the cylinder head with depth corresponding to height of the end shoulders on the piston bottom, at that the charge swirl motion at inlet coincides as per direction with direction of the tangential channels in the piston bottom.
