FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines, both with forced ignition and compression ignition. Tangentially directed channels are made with different width. One of channels arranged close to cylinder wall has width exceeding width of any other channel. Additional cavity of depth equal to depth of channel is made under valve in place where there is no combustion chamber, channel communicating said cavity with cavity forming combustion chamber in cylinder head. EFFECT: increased rate of combustion, reduced heat losses in swirler walls, increased antiknocking resistance of engine. 2 cl, 3 dwg
