SUBSTANCE: invention relates to techniques for displaying data on electronic devices. Disclosed is a method for sharing direction-sensitive information. The method includes receiving user input in a sender device, wherein the user input specifies information to be shared, and the direction relative to the sender device. Further, the method includes executing instructions stored in memory, wherein the execution of the said instructions by a processor identifies a recipient device located in a target area, the target area being defined based on the specified direction relative to the sender device.

EFFECT: facilitating information sharing on electronic devices by taking into account the direction of the sender device relative to the recipient device.
