SUBSTANCE: invention relates to services provided to communication network subscribers, specifically to the delivery, triggering and execution of media content on user devices. The method includes configuring at a sender device a trigger message which specifies an executable file containing active content, having media content to be executed by the recipient device, wherein if it is detected that the recipient device does not support the trigger message, the trigger message is converted into a message supported by the recipient device.
EFFECT: providing forced activation of media content on a recipient device for a calling subscriber.
