FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Software updating method in which request to update of software is transmitted from client to server, wherein request includes local renewable software file information; difference between updated software and last version of software is determined in accordance with file information, and command to update information in accordance with these differences is generated and transmitted to client; corresponding files are loaded and updated by client according to command in command information to update, wherein search of information describing functions of last version of software is performed on server and said information is added to command information to update; prior to loading and updating of corresponding file client is displayed information describing functions, which is contained in command information to update.
EFFECT: technical result is update of software, which makes it possible to save data throughput resources and reduce volume of software updating operations.
