SUBSTANCE: laser cladding method comprises feeding a cladding material into the focal region of a laser beam placed on the surface of the article being treated. The initial circular laser beam is used to form a series of parallel annular laser beams, which are converted into a series of conical beams and separately focused along the same optical axis on which the cladding material is fed. The apparatus comprises a laser which is optically coupled with a conical beam forming system, a focusing lens and a cladding material feeding system, an optical system for forming a series of annular laser beams with controlled laser radiation power distribution on annular beams, a rotary mirror with holes for guiding pipes for feeding gas, cooling liquid and the cladding material, and a system of focusing conical mirrors.
EFFECT: broader processing capabilities and low power consumption with the high accuracy of making components.
