FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, in particular to a method and apparatus for worm gearboxes testing. In proposed method of accelerated testing of worm gearbox worm gear as sliding couple, at first a primary macro running-in of sliding couple mating should be conducted. Finally, macro running-in test is carried out with step-through load rising approximately up to estimated maximum short-term action on verge of seizing amount of sliding couple loading with continuous monitoring of current friction parameters values and other critical for sliding couple interaction performance parameters. Role of load is played by a gearbox worm gear low-speed output shaft and controlling of load and value of next step of loading should be selected depending on nature of torque change at high-speed input shaft of gearbox. Reaching of maximum permitted long-term loading is determined by a significant increase in relative amplitude of torque oscillation of high-speed shaft and/or by minimum of friction parameter at its dependence chart on load torque of low-speed output shaft. As current friction parameter value ratio of current high-speed input shaft torque value to current value of low-speed output shaft torque, which is multiplied by gear ratio of gear is used. Bench for implementation of proposed method comprises electric motor, couplings for test gear, loading device in form of electromagnetic brake, device for controlling of load torque on gearbox low-speed output shaft, device for measuring and determining torque on gearbox high-speed input shaft.
EFFECT: technical result is increasing in quality of worm gearboxes accelerated tests while increasing reliability of test results.
