FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be applied for investigation of processes associated with intensive heat and mass transfer. Laboratory plant for investigation of heat and mass transfer processes comprises working section, consisting of rectangular brass body, on bottom of which in turn are installed heat-insulating material, electric heater in form of flat heating element connected to a power supply, metal plate, and substrate on which low-boiling liquid is poured. On upper and lower sides of metal plate there are symmetrical grooves, in each of which there is thermocouple. Thermocouple for measurement of liquid temperature immersed in liquid. All thermocouples through analogue-to-digital converter are connected to personal computer. In upper part of housing there is hole for probe in form of steel needle secured on precision device connected to personal computer. Light source, diffuser, shield with hole, biconvex collimating lens, rectangular housing, biconvex condenser lens, and video camera are placed in series upon optical desk, so that they are arranged on one axis passing through layer of liquid poured onto substrate of working section.
EFFECT: technical result: processes of evaporation and boiling may be investigated.
