FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high strength forged items of aluminium alloys, and to methods of their producing. A forged item made out of a deformable aluminium alloy strengthened by heat treatment has a crystal microstructure containing the first type grains with the grains deviation from the texture orientation ≤3°, having average dimensions in the plane LT-ST at least 3.5:1, and the second type grains that differ from the first type grains; wherein the first type grains are contained in an amount from 5 %vol to 50 %vol; wherein the maximum intensity of the texture as per ODF diagram is at least 30. The method of producing the forged item includes the aluminium alloy pressing by extrusion with reverse flow with the creation of the pressed profile with the maximum intensity of the texture as per ODF diagram in the pressed state, forging of the pressed profile to the forged item by hot treatment of the pressed profile under pressure at a temperature by 20°F lower than the temperature of the start of alloy melting, and solution treatment.
EFFECT: invention ensures the production of items with an increased accuracy.
