SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to articles of the aluminium-lithium alloys 2xxx not sensitive to cold strain hardening. Article of aluminium alloy produced by pressure shaping contains, wt%: 2.75 - 5.0 Cu, 0.2 - 0.8 Mg, value of copper/magnesium ratio (Cu/Mg) is 8.0 - 16, 0.1 - 1.10 Li, 0.30 - 2.0 Ag, 0.40 - 1.5 Zn, ≤1.0 Mn, the rest is Al and impurities. Difference between the first value of strain hardness and the second value of strain hardness in the first part and in the second part of the article respectively is at least 0.5%, and difference in strength between the first and the seconds part is less than 8 ksi when measured in lengthwise direction.

EFFECT: processed pressure articles from aluminium alloys are characterised by combination of high strength and viscosity and low firmness difference within the product.
