FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from 6xxx aluminum alloys and can be used for making car parts, in particular, wheel rims, covers of bonnets, wings, door panels, roof panels, trunk cover panels, supports of uncoloured bodies and reinforcements of uncoloured bodies. Method of producing products from deformable 6xxx aluminum alloy involves preparation of articles made from aluminium alloy containing, wt%: 0.1-2.0 silicon, 0.1-3.0 magnesium, optionally up to 2.0 copper and optionally up to 2.5 zinc, wherein at least one of silicon and magnesium is a predominant alloying element, hardening articles made from aluminium alloy, cold pressure treatment of articles made from aluminium alloy by at least 50 %, thermal treatment of article made from aluminium alloy, wherein cold pressure treatment and thermal treatment is performed to achieve in long across direction a yield point of at least 60 ksi and relative elongation of at least about 6 %. Product made from 6xxx aluminium alloy has a recrystallised microstructure with less than 50 % of volume fraction of grains with variation of orientation of grains of not more than 3°.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at production of articles from 6xxx aluminium alloy with improved strength properties.
