FIELD: explosives.
SUBSTANCE: method for initiation of light-sensitive explosive with light pulse of laser radiation can be used in physics of explosion, methods and means for non-contact detonation of industrial explosives. Method involves generating a light pulse of laser radiation (LR), supply of a shaped pulse of LR at initiated light-sensitive explosive, emitted by source of LR pulse by means of a collimator, is divided into separate, at least 4 beams, diameter of which exceeds critical diameter of detonation of light-sensitive explosive. Diameters of ⌀ formed LR beams formed by collimator and distance x between them are associated with minimum energy Q of light pulse of LR, initiating detonation-sensitive explosive, and time t to explosive detonation excitation by mathematical relationship t = f (x, Q ⌀). LR beams formed by collimator are fed in direction perpendicular to surface of light-sensitive explosive and symmetrically relative to geometric centre of collimator.
EFFECT: invention provides minimum level of detonation excitation energy with simultaneous reduction of time to detonation excitation.
