SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and specifically to image processing systems. Device for recovering depth of a scene is disclosed. Device comprises an input realisation storage unit, a colour image storage unit, a unit for determining quasi-stationarity areas, a unit for generating a mask-element multiplier, a unit for calculating a median estimate, a useful component estimate storage unit, a counter current line, a current column counter, four delay units, a depth map storage unit, depth map mask forming unit, unit for recovering depth map, a clock pulse generator.
EFFECT: reduced error in determining distance from scene objects to sensor camera.
