FIELD: pulse engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to pulse engineering and can be used for power supply systems of high-power lasers. Generator comprises series-arranged inductive energy accumulator and drift diode with sharp recovery of reverse resistance, as well as a load connected in parallel to drift diode, and switches. Switches are arranged in series and inductive energy storage device is connected to a connection point between switch with possibility of adjusting amplitude of pulse on load by varying time of opening and closing switches. Moment of closure of second switch is in time interval between opening of first switch and moment of changing polarity of current through inductive accumulator, and moment of its opening is located in a time interval from beginning of generation at load until next closing of first switch.
EFFECT: technical result is generation of voltage pulses with high pulse repetition frequency.
