FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: membrane for ultrafiltration contains microporous material, containing: (a) polyolefin matrix, present in quantity, at least, 2 wt %; (b) finely milled, solid, in fact, water-insoluble filling agent of precipitated silicon dioxide, distributed throughout said matrix volume, wherein said filling agent constitutes from approximately 10% to approximately 90 wt % of said microporous material substrate; and (c) at least, 20 wt % of network of connecting pores, passing throughout microporous material volume. Method for separation of suspended or dissolved materials from flowing medium stream, such as liquid or gas stream, includes passing flowing medium stream through said membrane for ultrafiltration.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain membrane for removal of admixtures from streams of liquids and gases in accordance with mechanism of chemical or physical desorption, possessing high strength.
