FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hermetic seal for a stator of a turbomachine. Hermetic seal (7) has a first abradable surface located opposite rotor portion of turbomachine, and a second surface in contact with inner cover of stator. First abradable surface of seal has a stepped shape and includes a group of sections (10), each of which comprises a circumferential step (9) which forms an obstacle in circumferential direction of inner cover and an axial step (8) which forms an obstacle in axial direction of turbomachine.
EFFECT: invention provides a greater pressure loss and improves sealing.
