FIELD: physics, nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in structures of spacer and mixing grids of fuel assemblies (FA) of nuclear power reactors. FA grid consists of cells designed for placement of fuel elements, their connecting elements and local two-blade deflectors located above them along the flow of the heat carrier. Cells and connecting elements are formed by intersection of three groups of parallel strips. Local deflectors represent a combination of two mixing blades of trapezoidal shape, which are located on upper edges of the strips and bent away at their base towards the connecting elements.
EFFECT: increased of burnout power value due to formation of a group of cross flows along rows of fuel elements and circular vortices of the heat carrier between three adjacent fuel elements.
