FIELD: nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to atomic engineering, specifically to structures of distancing and mixing grids for nuclear reactor fuel assemblies. The mixing grid has a rim and a set of intercrossing plates in form of joined strips and with a rim on the intersection places which form the field of cells for placing fuel cells and supporting members of the fuel assembly. At least part of the cells is hexahedral. For passage of heat carrier, trihedral cells adjacent to the hexahedral cells have on their butt-ends mixing plate-like deflectors bending towards the trihedral cells. Cells for placing supporting members have a circular shaped cross section and cells for placing fuel cells are hexahedral, where two faces of each hexahedral cell are concave, and mixing plate-like deflectors are made on the butt-end of the third face. The said deflectors are bent such that deflectors of trihedral cells adjacent with one hexahedral cell are inclined in one circular direction around that hexahedral cell to create additional eddy motion of the heat carrier.
EFFECT: increased power of reactors.
