FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be applied in systems for transmitting messages protected with correcting noise-immune code. Method for controlling communication channel quality is characterised by that at transmitting side of communication system, message is encoded with noise-immune code, which is transmitted to communication channel, while at receiving side of communication system noise-immune code is decoded and in case of successful decoding noise-immune code, receipt is transmitted to transmitting side of the communication system via feedback channel; in case receipt was not received at transmitting side of communication system, noise-immune code is transmitted repeatedly; at transmitting side number of receipts received via feedback channel in sliding window, ratio of received and missed receipts numbers to number of noise-immune codes transmitted is calculated; probabilities of receiving and deleting noise-immune code in communication channel are determined, probabilities of correct reception and transformation of noise-immune code are determined, and quality of communication channel is evaluated.

EFFECT: technical result is increased volume of useful information transmitted over communication channel.
