FIELD: communications engineering.

SUBSTANCE: noise-immune code is generated on sending end and transferred to communication channel; this noise-immune code is received on receiving end wherein it is decoded, and results of decoding are used to determine error number in noise-immune code words; then communication-channel error coefficient is calculated; novelty is that concatenated noise-immune code is generated on sending end of communication channel which is then decoded on receiving end, and information is obtained when concatenated code is normally decoded; then this information is encoded by same noise-immune concatenated code, and in the process erased and transformed words of internal concatenated noise-immune code number are recovered; then difference between received and recovered words of the latter is calculated, and error sequence in internal concatenated noise-immune code words is obtained; after that error number in internal words of noise-immune concatenated code are counted, and communication-channel error coefficient is evaluated; in case of failure to decode noise-immune concatenated code error number in decoded words of concatenated noise-immune code internal number is calculated; then number of erased words in internal code is counted, and number of internal-code transformed words is evaluated, whereupon error number is evaluated in erased and transformed internal-code words, and communication-channel error coefficient is determined.

EFFECT: enhanced precision of communication-channel quality control.
