FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and can be used in radar stations. Said result is achieved by a method for radar scanning space based on alternate inspection of zone of view of sides of double-sided phased antenna array during its rotation around vertical axis and electronic scanning on elevation angle ε and azimuth β, expanding or moving elevation viewing zone by means of additional mechanical beam scanning phased antenna array on elevation angle by changing inclination of phased antenna array plane relative to its rotational axis. Said technical result is achieved also by that radar station for realising method of scanning space, containing double-sided phased antenna array, made with possibility of rotation around vertical axis and with two-dimensional electronic scanning, as well as folding-unfolding mechanism, movable part of which is connected with phased antenna array, phased antenna array and folding-unfolding mechanism are made with possibility of radar station change and measure angle of inclination of phased antenna array.
EFFECT: technical result is expansion of elevation coverage or its displacement.
