SUBSTANCE: invention relates to proton radiography, in particular, to methods of generating and picking up proton images using magnetic optics. Method for recording proton images generated using a magnetooptical system involves forming a proton beam that passed through investigated object, and obtaining digital images of proton beam to pass through investigated object with the help of the first registration system and beam after passing through the investigated object with the help of second registration system, converter which is placed in the plane of focusing magnetooptical system configured to energy proton beam to crossing of the investigated object and providing for focusing of protons of the plane of the object in the image plane and subsequent production of a shadow image of the investigated object by bringing the obtained images of the beam to one angle and pixel division of one image onto another, the second system of registration in front of the converter is installed, at least, one more converter with a corresponding recording equipment and at least one digital image of the proton beam, which is taken into account when producing a shadow image of the investigated object by bringing its beam image obtained using the first system of registration, one angle and pixel division of one image onto another, the distance L between converters selected based on the parameters of the object of research and magneto-optical system, from the following ratio: , where: m22 -corresponding transition matrix element M magnetooptical system, ∂m12/∂p - private derivative pulse Proton corresponding matrix elements of transition M, Δp-difference at average pulse between protons that passed through the area of the investigated object with different optical thickness.
