SUBSTANCE: method for producing the proton images includes stages, at which the proton beam pass is performed through the investigation area and its registration before and after its pass through the investigation area is performed by directing the proton beam into the converter that convertis the proton radiation into photons, which are then directed to the input of CCD matrix to obtain digital images with their subsequent processing by reducing to the same foreshortening and per pixel image division, obtained after the beam pass through the investigation area, by the image obtained before its pass through the investigation area, wherein at the result of the proton radiation conversion into photons, a narrow photon beam is generated by directing the proton beam to the converter that converts the proton radiation into Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation, while the gas, which fills the working converter volume, is selected from the condition, when its refractive index is in the range of 1,0001-1,001, next, the generated photon beam is focused and directed to the input of the CCD matrix.
