FIELD: imaging; image processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at obtaining and processing images generated by proton radiation. The essence of the invention consists in pre-configuring a system for obtaining proton images with registration systems placed before and after the study area, and a magneto-optical system that provides focusing of protons from the plane of the object into the image plane, for which reference points are placed outside the field of view of the installation with the possibility of their input into this field for the time of the passage of the proton beam, which is carried out without placing the object of study, and using the images obtained from the registration systems, the coordinates of the reference points are determined to calculate the projective transformation, when conducting further experiments with the placement of the object of study, the resulting projective transformation is taken into account, the image of the object of study from one registration system is brought to the angle of the image from the second, and, applying pixel-by-pixel division of the image from the second registration system to the reduced image from the first, an image of the object of study is obtained, while additionally monitoring the movement of the registration channels, for which a laser is installed in front of the converter of the registration system, providing a rigid attachment to a fixed structural element of the installation, and before conducting experiments with the light off, the laser tag is removed by the registration system, in the future, during experiments, the laser tag is removed again and, by comparison with the initially removed label, the vector of translational motion of the registration channels or the affine transformation of this motion is determined, which is used in image processing to obtain a refined image of the object of study by correction or projective transformation, obtained earlier with the introduction of reference points, or the image of the object of study itself.
