SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for laser marking. Transparent aqueous composition for imaging using laser includes a compound comprising: (i) a transition metal oxyanion of formula AxOy z-, Where x - from 1 to 18; y - from 4 to 42; z - 1 to 12; A - Mo (molybdenum); (ii) at least one ammonium cation - amino alcohol of formula HNR1R2R3+ (I), wherein R1 - C2-5 alkilenON; R2 and R3 - C2-5 alkilenON hydrogen or C1-5 alkyl; may comprise (iii) the cation NH4 +; and (iv) an aqueous solvent.
EFFECT: invention provides a transparent aqueous composition for producing images with increased optical density on various substrates using a laser.
