SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a capsule, a system and a method for preparing a beverage. Capsule for preparing a beverage from a beverage ingredient comprises a first portion and second portion, together forming in said capsule a beverage ingredient compartment, which receives a beverage ingredient. First portion has a pre-molded inlet for receipt of an aqueous medium into capsule, and second portion has a pre-molded outlet for a beverage prepared from beverage ingredients and aqueous medium. When placing capsule into container of machine for preparing a beverage, capsule may shrink due to that first part of capsule is captured by a device for puncturing inlet machine for preparing a beverage, whereby first part of capsule is moved in direction of second part of capsule without piercing first or second parts.
