FIELD: jewellery.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to apparatus for assay of precious metals. Mobile assay facility located in an equipped vehicle, preferably an armoured truck, is completely equipped to melt and assay precious metals, particularly gold and silver. Induction furnace is adapted to melt precious metals and make an ingot. Ingot is weighed and analysed using an X-ray fluorescence alloy analyser and accurate data of assay of gold and/or other metals are saved in computer memory. Price of gold is calculated by multiplying market price of percentage content of metal in ingot by total weight of ingot. Seller can obtain refined ingot and pay a fee for re-melting and assay.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling calculation of market value of precious metal in ingot based on mass of ingot, XRF analysis data of ingot and market value of unit of said precious metal.
