FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoding and decoding of three-dimensional video content based on standard H.264/AVC (advanced video coding) or MVC (MultiView video coding). Said technical result is achieved by fact that information on movement of texture unit is used to obtain information on movement characterised by depth/disparity. Alternatively, information on movement characterised by depth/disparity is used to obtain information on movement of texture unit.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of motion vector prediction (MVP) for multiple-aspect coding.
