FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic engineering, and in particular to methods for manufacturing metal porous cathode of vacuum electronic devices. Method of manufacturing a cathode involves pressing-metal porous tungsten powder at a pressure of 8-15 t/cm2 in housing, representing a turning of molybdenum glass rod, wherein housing sequentially, three pressing, sponge is formed, consisting of three layers, first, inner layer formed of a sponge cathode mixture of 70-90 wt% of tungsten powder and 10-30 wt% of active substance, and then a powder of niobium, tantalum or hafnium, forming a second intermediate layer, after which powder of tungsten or molybdenum, or mixtures thereof, with addition of an additive 0.5-3 wt% of niobium powder, tantalum or hafnium third outer layer forming cathode jaws forming emitting surface.
EFFECT: technical result is increasing density distribution uniformity and durability of current output of cathodes.
