FIELD: chemistry; electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating. Method for regeneration of chromium plating electrolyte Cr(III) using device for regeneration, containing electrolyte regeneration and cooling baths, involves heating of electrolyte, extracted from main chromium plating bath, to higher temperature than that at which chromium plating is conducted, and cooling of heated electrolyte to temperature is equal to or higher than that at which chromium plating is conducted, and lower than temperature of heating, and return of electrolyte to main bath. Method of chromium plating Cr(III) is performed using chromium plating installation including major and minor baths and Cr(III) electrolyte regeneration device, wherein method involves passing electric current between substrate-cathode and anode in main bath containing ions of Cr(III) and reducing agent, and electrolyte regeneration specified above.
EFFECT: reduced concentration of Cr(VI) ions formed during plating.
