FIELD: space.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering and is intended to provide automatic docking of spacecraft. Docking device for spacecraft includes docking assembly with frames attached to spacecraft body and hatch cover on outer side of which is fixed receiving cone, ending in a cup-shaped nest with longitudinal slots. At bottom of socket there is an "outlet" connector and a docking mechanism, based on taper shank and ending with a "plug" connector and spring pushers. "Socket-plug" connectors are docked. On outer side of docking mechanism there is a rod with a gripping head. Rod comprises touch sensors, a spring-loaded latch, which electric drive and electric rods are installed inside housing of docking mechanism. Control circuits of electric drives and signal circuits of touch sensors are output through docked connectors onto connector of hatch cover.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is providing a device androgyny by transforming active docking device into passive docking device.
