FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to oral care composition and method of application. Disclosed oral care composition contains an effective amount of particles of calcium silicate, 5 % water and 30-65 % water-retaining agent of weight of composition. Calcium silicate particles have average diameter less than 5 microns, value d50 from 2 mcm to 5 mcm and d90 from 5 mcm to 10 mcm, as well as value of total volume fraction of particles (CVP), having a diameter equal to or smaller 3.95 mcm, at least 50 %. Use of said oral care composition provides effective blocking of dentinal tubules and, consequently, reduced dental sensitivity.
EFFECT: method for oral care involves application of said composition on an individual's oral cavity in an amount effective for reducing dental hypersensitivity and achieving other useful effects.
