FIELD: pharmacy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for oral care, comprising orally acceptable base, a basic amino acid - arginine in free or salt form, a calcium carbonate, a zinc ion source and at least one surfactant selected from a nonionic block copolymer surfactant, and a betaine zwiterionic surfactant or their mixtures, wherein the composition for oral care does not contain any anionic surfactant, wherein the nonionic block copolymer surfactant comprises a poloxamer. The invention also relates to a method of reducing the sensitivity of teeth, method of closing the dentinal tubules of a tooth of a mammal, a method for enhancing absorption of zinc ions by a mammalian tooth comprising coating the tooth surface with the said composition. The invention relates to the use of the composition for enhancing absorption of zinc ions by tooth surface, to the use of the composition for increasing foaming of the composition for oral care in the oral cavity.
EFFECT: obtaining of a composition for oral care, including a calcium carbonate, an arginine and a zinc ion source with an improved surfactant system which allows to improve the foaming properties, to enhance delivery and absorption of zinc ions by tooth surface.
