FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry, particularly, to production of multicomponent tellurite glass, which can be used for making fibre-optic guides and planar optical waveguides used in optics and optoelectronic devices visible, near and middle infrared ranges. Method of producing multicomponent tellurite glass involves melting of charge, represented by dried residue produced by ammonia solution of inorganic acids and salts, oxides of elements which are components of glass, and further cooling of melt. Residue is obtained by excess ammonia on mixture of aqueous solutions of inorganic acids and salts dissolved in water, drying is performed at 200-300 °C, and melting of charge is performed at 700-800 °C.

EFFECT: technical result is high optical transparency in the visible and near IR regions and short-wave spectrum, simplified process.
