FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and relates to a method of synthesis of a complex oxide of lanthanum, molybdenum and tellurium, which can be used to produce lanthanum-containing tellurite-molybdate glass. Method of producing complex oxide of lanthanum, molybdenum and tellurium La2MoTe6O18 involves dissolving separately in distilled water initial compounds, such as hexahydrate of lanthanum nitrate La(NO3)3⋅6H2O, ammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate (NH4)6Mo7O24⋅4H2O and orthotelluric acid H6TeO6. Then, obtained solutions are mixed, evaporation of precipitate is performed till dryness, grinding and calcination of obtained dry residue at temperature of 600 °C to obtain white powder. At that, weighed portions of initial components of such masses are used to make the atomic ratio La:Mo:Te equal to 2:1:6.
EFFECT: obtained La2MoTe6O18 can be used not only as a charge component along with other compounds, but also as the only initial substance for synthesis of lanthanum-containing tellurite-molybdate glasses, which considerably simplifies the process of their production and obtaining the oxide itself.
