FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and relates to synthesis of a complex oxide of praseodymium, molybdenum and tellurium Pr2Mo2Te2O13, which can be used as a component in the mixture for producing praseodymium-containing tellurite-molybdate glasses. Initial components are separately dissolved in distilled water. Initial components used are praseodymium nitrate hexahydrate Pr(NO3)3⋅6H2O, tetrahydrate of ammonium heptamolybdate (NH4)6Mo7O24⋅4H2O and orthotelluric acid H6TeO6. Then obtained solutions are mixed. Obtained mixture is evaporated till dryness. Obtained dry residue is milled and calcined at temperature of 700 °C for 3–5 hours until powder of light-green colour is obtained. At that, weighed portions of initial components of such masses are used to ensure ratio of atoms Pr:Mo:Te equal to 1:1:1.
EFFECT: technical result of using the disclosed invention is low temperature and duration of synthesis.
