FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to piercing mill mandrel. Piercing mandrel consists of mandrel case, Ni-Cr-layer formed on surface of housing of mandrel, and sprayed coating formed on surface of Ni-Cr-layer. Mandrel case is made from alloy containing, wt%: from 20 to 30 of Cr, from 30 to 55 of Ni, from 0.005 to 0.5 of C, from 0.1 to 1.0 of Si, from 0.2 to 1.5 of Mn and at least one from Mo and W when performing ratio of 1.5 ≤ Mo + 0.5 W ≤ 8.5, Fe and impurities are rest.
EFFECT: mandrel is characterised by long service life due to high characteristics of mandrel body material deformation resistance and adhesion of sputtered coatings.
