FIELD: energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in systems for steam generation by means of current passing through an electrolyte solution. System for steam generation includes boiler for steam generation, device for supply of electrolyte solution, device for measuring electric current and controller. Boiler for steam generation includes first and second electrodes, which are located so as to contact electrolyte solution, when electrolyte solution is present in boiler for steam generation. Electric current passes between first and second electrodes through electrolyte solution and heats electrolyte solution for steam generation. Controller is connected with device for supply of electrolyte solution and provides supply and termination of ingress of electrolyte solution in said boiler for steam generation operating on current, device for measuring electric current.
EFFECT: system provides fast formation of steam in a predetermined amount in case of intermittent and in case of continuous steam generation.
