SYSTEMS OF ELECTRIC RECHARGEABLE METAL-AIR BATTERIES AND METHODS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC H01M12/06 H01M2/38

Abstract RU 2574165 C2

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the sphere of electrical engineering. Rechargeable metal-air cell of the battery includes metal (M) electrode (E) and air (A) electrode, as well as aqueous electrolyte separating M and A electrodes. In some embodiments M electrode contacts electrolyte directly without placement of a separator or porous membrane between A electrode and electrolyte. A unit of the battery cells comprises the first cell having the first ME, the first AE and electrolyte between them and the second cell having the second ME, the second AE and electrolyte between them At that the first ME of the first cell contacts the second AE of the second cell thus forming an air tunnel between them. The first ME may contact the second AE being pressed around the second AE thus forming centrode. Rechargeable metal-air cells of the battery may be electrically interconnected by centrodes connection. Subject matter of the invention includes also versions for energy storage.

EFFECT: attained stability of electric power in the mains and shift in power supply during periods of peak and non-peak loads.
