FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of public transport, and more particularly to steps. Sliding step (20) for a public transport means comprises corrugated plate (24), which can be horizontally extended / retracted by means of a drive, with two side brackets and corrugated surface (30). Surface (30) is mounted between side brackets (32), wherein corrugated plate (24) is provided with at least two rollers (34). These rollers (34) are connected to said side brackets (32). Rollers move on a rail attached to the vehicle. At least one of said side bracket (32) in the region of said rollers (34) is provided with offset section (42), located between said two rollers (34) and comprising a strain gauge for detecting deformations.
EFFECT: decreased overall dimensions are provided.
