SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a method for producing a patient-specific support for a modular bracket, a support made according to present method, and a library of support workpieces, relates to dentistry and is intended for use in orthodontics. Method of making a patient-specific support for a modular bracket with a support and with a bracket body, which comprises steps of: a) providing a preferably plane support material section, b) providing a punching means with at least one punch for punching out at least one support from support material section, c) punching out at least one support with aid of punching means and providing a library of support workpieces, d) establishing a patient-specific set-up, in particular of plaster, of teeth to be treated from an upper jaw and/or a lower jaw of a patient, e) selecting from library of support workpieces one support for patient's tooth that is to be treated, and f) filling a gap between support and associated tooth in set-up with a filler material, in particular of plastic. Library of support workpieces has a number of at least 14 containers of support workpieces, each having a support workpiece for one tooth of upper jaw, as well as at least 14 containers of support workpieces, each having a support workpiece for one tooth of lower jaw. In library of support workpieces for at least one tooth there is at least one additional container for support workpiece to accommodate support workpiece of another size and/or with wings and/or occlusal sections.

EFFECT: inventions enables to make a patient-specific support using a simple method.
